Repairs and servicing of Remeha boilers E11 and E13 fault codes

Repairs and servicing work of Remeha boilers is dependent on good access to boiler parts and spares which always makes light work of the boiler repairs. If you are servicing or repairing a Remeha gas boilers come with a Error code system and whilst the Fault code numbers are often not totally definitive they give a strong indication where the Remeha boiler breakdowns lay on the boiler and narrows the fault finding procedures. If there is no book left with the boiler ( which should never be the case ) the engineer may struggle as all modern gas boilers tend to rely more on complex technology. Error code  E11 indicates that the air box temperature is too high and this can be caused by a air leakage from the heat exchanger the seal is part number 72053840 or S59596. It also would pay to check that the heat exchanger front plate is tightened down and the electrodes and viewing glass are also properly fitted and sealed.

Error code E13 like the dreaded number can be unlucky for some. Fault E13 indicates that the main heat exchanger thermal fuse has blown or failed and I am sorry to say is a catastrophic failure meaning the main heat exchanger will require replacement. That said we would often advise our customer to do a straight boiler swop as it would be quicker and may be cheaper in the long run as the main heat exchanger is a very expensive item. This is a rare fault and is normally caused by  external faults or running the boiler whilst dry. You maybe lucky though and find the fault is a wire problem between the thermal fuse and the PCB. Pump checks and boiler pressure should all be checked but the F13 Fault code is normally serious. The F13 is thankfully a very rare occurrence on the generally well behave Remeha Avanta series of gas boilers. Whatever the spares part you require Clickon can supply as the company is a fully appointed spares agent for Avanta boilers from Remeha.
